Deschamps, Dorothy (Roy)

It is with great sorrow that the family announces her sudden passing on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the age of 76 years. Daughter of the late Claire Gagnon (née Duperreault) (late Patrick Gagnon). Beloved wife of 39 years to Irené Deschamps. Loving mother of Linda Unsworth (Terry) and Dean Aelick (Darquise Huot). Cherished grandmother of Melanie, Jesse, Devon, Jordan, Julia and great-grandmother of Olivia. Survived by, and dear sister of, Raymond, Jérôme, Marcel, Gisèle, Jeannette, Eveline and Aurore. Predeceased by her siblings Jean-Paul, Jeannine, Raymonde and Percy. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dorothy will be remembered for her positive outlook on life and her spunky attitude. She loved telling a good joke or story and getting laughs in return. She regularly practiced random acts of kindness towards strangers and truly believed it made the world a better place. She was a master at euchre and will be missed at the many euchre nights in town that she attended. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes there will be no visitation. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home.
