In Loving Memory of Rudolf “Rudy” Hemmer 90 years Sunday, January 6th, 2019 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Erna (Fischer) Hemmer predeceased 1993. Loving father of Roland Hemmer. Dear brother of Frank Hemmer (Babbet), Paula (Herman Roth), Elsie (Mike Volkens), Manfred Hemmer (Gertrud), Sieglide (Helmut Bauer), and predeceased by Hans Hemmer (Lori surviving), Adolf Hemmer (Maria surviving), Elisabeth (Franz Wagner) both predeceased, Fanny (Peter Scheller surviving), Josef Hemmer (Ursel) both predeceased. Dear son of Theresia and Franz Hemmer both predeceased. Sadly missed by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rudy was born in Germany, moving to Canada in 1952. He was a miner at Falconbridge Nickel Mines, retiring with 36 years of service. A devoted family man, Rudy was a professional baker and enjoyed spending time in the garden. Funeral Visitation in the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5pm Sunday). Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church Garson Monday, January 21st, 2019 at 10am. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
