It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Alvin Albert Weiman on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 at his home at the age of 81. Son of the late Joseph and of the late Rose (nee Roth) Weiman of Bruno, Saskatchewan. Beloved husband of Elaine Weiman (nee Dittburner) of Dowling. Loving father of Ken (Carole) of Sudbury, Kevin (Therese) of Chelmsford, Karen Tremblay (Marcel) of Azilda, and Keith (Monique) of Hamilton. Dear brother of Katherine Zimmer (Wilfred) and Delores Rochon (late Adrien Rochon and late Leander Blaseg) and brother-in-law of Evelyn Weiman and Henedine Weiman. Predeceased by his sister Hildegarde Letourneau (late Benoit) and brothers Sylvester (late Esther), John, Raymond (late Lorraine), Edward, and Melvin. Dear brother-in-law of Wilmer Dittburner (late Donna-Lynn), late Wally Dittburner (Gwen), Eunice Howard (late Allan), Cameron Dittburner (Bella), and late Lloyd Dittburner (Lorelei). Predeceased by his father-in-law Edgar and mother-in-law Alma Dittburner (nee Wentland). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Chad (Melanie), Tyler (Lisa), Denis (Christine), Brian (Tina), Ashley, Cassandra, and Kristin and his great-grandchildren, Veronique, Alexie, Easton, and Bradley. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Alvin loved spending time with his family, playing his guitar, singing old songs, and tending to his garden. He was a hockey, baseball, and wrestling fan. In his younger days he was an avid fastball player. He spent many years volunteering on the Dowling Fire Department as a firefighter and first aid. He worked at INCO for over 36 years as a miner, in plant protection, and where he participated in and coached first aid.
