In Loving Memory of Richard Charles Victor Gates 72 years Friday, January 4th, 2019 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Maver (Boyd) Gates. Loving father of Leonard (Tami), Douglas (Kate), Thomas (Krista), and Cindy (Miguel Goncalves predeceased). Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren. Dear son of Leonard and Lucille Gates both predeceased. Dear brother of Kenney (Enid), Peter (Linda), and Patsy (Gary Cook). Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Rick worked for many years as a transport driver. He was a member of the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion. At Rick’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. A private family committal service will be held in Espanola. Donations to the NCF Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
