In Loving Memory of Aime Paul Joseph Barbe, 89 years who passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Extendicare Falconbridge. Beloved husband of Vivian (Gaudette) (predeceased). Loving father of Shelley (Dan) Hrycay, Kerry (Amy) and Kelly. Cherished grandfather of Kristie, Steven (Melanie), Matthew, Melissa (Maxim), (mother) Christine, Joelle (Maxime), Liam and Wil. Special great-grandfather of Kody, Brooke, Danika, Alexia, Malik, Henley, Madyson and Jayden. Dear son of Emile and Florence Barbe (predeceased). Aime leaves behind his siblings Francoise (Ugo - predeceased) Comacchio, Leo (Helen), Martha (Moe - predeceased) Morrison. He will be sadly missed by his extended family Billy (Marguerite - predeceased) Core, Noreen (Joseph - predeceased), Maurice and Gert Gaudette. Predeceased by Andy (Frances) and Hector (Lorraine). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Aime ""Pep"" was a devout family man with a big heart who loved our frequent large family gatherings. He was inseparable from his life mate and wife of 64 years Vivian. He played many sports but excelled at hockey and like his father Emile, was a passionate Habs fan. A special thank you to the staff at Extendicare Falconbridge, 2nd floor. In keeping with Aime’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame de la Merci Church, 2 Edward Avenue, Coniston on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Church at 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Aime’s life will follow at the Colonial Inn, 28 Cedar Street, Coniston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made directly to the NEO Kids Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
