Grichen, C. Mary (Furey)

In Loving Memory of Mary Catherine Grichen (nee Furey) 75 years Passed away on Monday, December 10th, 2018 at Health Sciences North Beloved wife of Theodore “Ted” Grichen (predeceased 2016). She will be sadly missed by Henry Blackmore. Loving mother of Christopher Blackmore (Nicole), Darin Blackmore, Dean Blackmore (Denise), Brian Blackmore and Samantha Blackmore (Roni) and step mother of Nancy Grichen, Gordon Grichen, Christina Grichen and Barbara Grichen (Denis Bureau). Cherished and proud grandma & nanny to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren, they brought her great joy and she never missed a birthday or a holiday. Predeceased by her parents Charles & Theresa Furey (nee Barron) and her only sister Margaret Antle (husband Patrick of Newfoundland) and infant brother Michael. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends especially Annette Chenard who has been a big part of our family. Mary touched many lives and will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors at Health Sciences North – 5th floor CMU, especially Jayde for her extreme care, kindness and compassion. Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Saturday, December 15th, 2018 at 11:30 am Friends may gather after 11:00 am on Saturday. A celebration of life will follow at the Grichen residence. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers donations to the Kidney Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
