Lamontagne, Alain

We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss we experienced earlier this summer of a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, family man and friend. Alain is loved and missed beyond words by his wife, soulmate and best friend Sarah, and beloved daughter Rosalie. Cherished son of Jean Guy and Claudette and loving big brother to his sister Julie (Katherine) and new niece Ryanne. Also mourning his loss are his in-laws Rosanna and Nic and the Micelotta-Battigelli family, Darren and Linda and the Moulaison family, along with many extended family members, colleagues and friends. Alain’s booming laugh was infectious, his creativity limitless, his hugs warm, and his presence calming. His easygoing nature made him wonderful to be around. His love for nature, camping, the outdoors, travel and learning about the world was boundless and brought him to many destinations around the world. In his work he was accomplished, dedicated and talented, leaving his mark on many parks and developments which will leave a positive impact on the community for a long time to come. And in family life he was endlessly devoted, loving, caring and always putting family first. He was an amazing husband and father who adored and would do anything for his little girl. He was truly an incredible man gone too soon who will be cherished, loved and remembered always. His positive example will be followed by those left behind to keep his spirit and memory alive. Messages of condolence may be left on the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home website and friends and family will be received there in person on Friday, November 16th between the hours of 6pm and 8pm at 233 Larch St, in Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alain’s fund for Rosalie would be greatly appreciated to assist with her education and future. Contributions can be made online or in person through the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
