It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tanya Vansantvoort at the Maison McCulloch Hospice on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 32 years. Beloved wife of Joel Portelance. Loving mother of Cole and Kane (Portelance). Survived by her parents Robert and Carol Vansantvoort, father-in-law Denis Portelance (Louise predeceased). Cherished granddaughter of Edward and Eliane Kohansky and Anita Vansantvoort (Marcel predeceased). Dearest sister of Todd, Crystal (Ryan Dupont) and Tammy Vansantvoort. Adored matante of Madison, Connor (Vansantvoort) and Maève, Caleb (Middaugh). Special sister-in-law of Jennifer Buckner Vansantvoort and Chanelle Portelance Middaugh (Jeffrey). Tanya will forever be remembered for her glowing beauty, inside and out and her kind and caring nature. A natural mother, whose greatest joy were her beloved children, Cole and Kane, and her inspiration for living. A part of Tanya will forever live on through her identical twin Tammy with whom she shared a very special bond. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to all nurses, staff and volunteers at the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their exceptional care of Tanya throughout the end stages of her exhaustive and disadvantaged battle with brain cancer. There will be a private service for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, kindly provide donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
