In Loving Memory of Roger William Crichton 91 years Friday, October 26th, 2018. Peacefully into the arms of his Lord, surrounded by family in his own residence, Roger was called home. Survived by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Kaireen (Kelly), his daughter, Peggy Tessier (Michel of Ottawa), and his son, Bruce. Loving brother of Reta (Ignatius Hickey predeceased; Robbie Robertson predeceased), and Ralph (Evelyn) both predeceased. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Roger worked many years for Falconbridge Nickel Mines in Onaping. He was a founding member of the Levack Credit Union. He was ordained to the Permanent Deaconate in 1979, spending many years serving the community as a deacon in Christ the King parish. He was an Associate Deacon of the Madonna House Apostolate in Combermere, Ontario. He and Kaireen were host couple for many summers, supervising Cana Colony. He helped his wife, Kaireen to open the Blue Door Soup Kitchen. He lived in Onaping during the early years of their marriage before moving back to Sudbury in 1975. In later years Roger and Kaireen enjoyed spending their winters in Tucson, Arizona. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Paul Gibb, staff at Red Oak Villa, CCAC (Laura and Jennifer), and Bayshore for all your help provided in these last few days. Funeral Visitation in the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5pm Sunday with parish prayers at 2pm) Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church 30 Beech Street, Sudbury Monday, October 29th, 2018 at 10am. Interment in the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery. Donations to the Blue Door Café would be appreciated.
