McMullen, C. Patrick 'Pat'

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and uncle Patrick Cleary McMullen on October 23rd, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Rita (Moore). He will be truly missed by his family, Bill (Imelda), Mary (J.P. Ouellet), Hugh (Judy predeceased 2016), Suzanne, Colleen (Ron Fehst) and Donald (Melodie). Pat will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews, Peter, Rita, Michael, Michelle, Lisa, Joanne, Hugh Patrick, Kevin, Brian, Andrew, Jill, Shannon and Stacey. He was also gifted with 11 great nieces and nephews including Vivien (predeceased 2015). Pat will surely be missed by James Ilves, his longtime swimming buddy. He was a kind and gentle man of inner strength and grace. Indeed, Pat enjoyed his long walks and swims, especially in the morning and yes his occasional Blue. At Christmas time, he would get a kick out of treating everyone with tales of Gertrude, Santa’s wife. After graduating from Laurentian University, he worked as a Child Care Worker in many locations. Many thanks to Drs. Krawczuk, Asai, Cano and Singh. A special thank you to Dr. Mary Ellen Olsten who was always prepared to provide a helping hand whenever called upon. Lastly, the family would like to extend its sincere appreciation and many thanks to Suzanne for her constant and total devotion to Pat during his illness. As per his request, there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 39 Walford Road on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at 10am. (Friends are welcome at the church). Cremation with interment in his parents’ plot on Lasalle Boulevard. Donations may be made to Special Olympics or Crohn’s and Colitis Association.
