Al Delost (born March 25, 1955) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Sunday October 21, 2018. On his journey, he touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was very fortunate to meet the love of his life, Ginette, at an early age and share many years and wonderful times together. He was proud of their two daughters, Amy and Karen, in whom his morals, strength, and sense of humour are reflected. He was proud to call their husbands, Alen Andrijevic and Gus Canellos, his sons. He found absolute joy in his three granddaughters, Mila, Alexa, and Ilijana. Al is predeceased by his parents, Tony and Stella. He cherished his two loving and supportive sisters, Gloria (Jack) Dufour and Marion Humphries, and his brother-like relationship with his cousin Dave Waddle (Cathy). He will be missed by many nephews and nieces. As previous president of the Sudbury Street Rod Association and through his contribution to the Capreol Railroad Museum, his passion for rebuilding hot rods will not be forgotten. He loved working in the garage alongside his close friends and enjoyed late night jamming sessions with the “Stubborn Fried Chickens” where he could showcase his musical talent. He enjoyed his life, lived and died with no regrets. Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Thursday, October 25th, 2018 at 11:30am.
