Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a ride!” – Hunter S. Thompson Born to Anne Pednault (1917-2011) and Leo Vendetti (1915-1959) in Noëlville, Ontario and survived by his siblings Patricia (Joseph predeceased), Robert (Diane), Dorothy (Joe), Bill (Sandra), and Ron, and many nieces and nephews. Richard leaves behind Arlene (née Beaudry), his bride of 50 years, and their children and grandchildren: Stephanie & Andrew, with Chelsea, Evan, and Hailey; Patrick & Vanessa, with Lauryn, Payton, Madisyn, Micho, and Alex; and Corrie & Korey with Holly. An avid talker and jokester, Richard will be sorely missed by family and friends. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Tuesday). Funeral Mass in Holy Redeemer Church 1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 at 10am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
