Robillard, R. Delina

In loving memory of Delina Rose Robillard who passed away at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury on Friday, October 12th, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife of Rolland Robillard of Sudbury. Loving mother to baby Shirley (predeceased), Shirley Robillard of Sudbury and Marc Robillard (spouse Francine Chartrand) of Sudbury. She was proud to be a grandmother to Daniele Robillard (predeceased) and Eric Robillard of Sudbury. Delina was born to Horace Paquette and Rose Alma Joly on September 6, 1925 in Verner Ontario joining a large family of sisters; Lucille, Rachel, Doralice, Laurette, Francoise, Fleur Ange, Cécile and Noëlla and her brothers; Raymond, Rolland, Aurele, Gérard and Rosaire. Once upon a time, in the late 1940’s, a beautiful young waitress met a handsome cab driver from Queen’s Taxi at the Nickel Range Hotel in downtown Sudbury. Delina and Rolland fell in love and married on June 14th, 1951. Delina spent many years travelling and she loved hosting parties and dances at her home, surrounded by music, family, friends and neighbours. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside committal service will take place at St-Jacques Cemetery in Hanmer at a later date.
