After a courageous battle with cancer, Jeffrey Robert Durepeau passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at the age of 32 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Victoria (nee Miron) of Nairn Centre. Cherished father of Alexis (age 8) and Chloe (age 6), both at home. Loving son of Marlene and Robert Durepeau of Pembroke. Dear brother of Jonathan and Jessica, both of Pembroke. Beloved grandson of Glenda Wegner of Chalk River and Mae Durepeau of Pembroke. Jeff was predeceased by his grandfathers Ken Wegner and Norman Durepeau. Dear son-in-law of Connie and Eugene Miron of Nairn Centre. Jeff also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins on his side of the family and on Victoria’s side as well as several close friends. Jeff was born in Pembroke on October 2nd, 1985. For the past 11 years, he had been a resident of Nairn Centre. Prior to his illness, Jeff was employed by Sandvik as a heavy equipment mechanic. Spending time in the great outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, brought a lot of joy to his life. Jeff will be remembered for having a heart of gold, always willing to help anyone in need. He lived life to the fullest (and beyond that) and spending quality time with his girls meant the world to him. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of Jeff’s life will take place at the Nairn Centre Community Hall on Saturday September 22nd, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the girls (Alexis and Chloe) education or donations to the North East Cancer Centre Foundation, in memory of Jeff, would be greatly appreciated.
