In loving memory of Marilyn Freeland, of Westree, who passed away at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury on Friday, September 14th, 2018 at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of Harry Freeland of Westree. Loving mother of Julie Wupori of Sudbury and Derek Babiuk (Nikki) of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear step-mother of Florence Freeland of southern Ontario, Beverley Nicholas (Roger) of Sudbury, Karen Rivard of Coniston, Susan Squires (Mike) of Sudbury, Donna Freeland of Wahnapitae and Patricia Freeland of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Shane, Chelsey, Noah, Spencer, Wyatt, Alex, Harry, Ian, Paul, Dusty, Caitlyn, Bobbi, Aili, Charity, Cody and Kimberley. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Lynne Huigenbos (Harry) of London and Richard Clarke (predeceased). Marilyn was born in London on March 19th, 1948. For several years, she worked at the Ford Plant in St. Thomas, then for BOT Construction and eventually for the MTO in Shining Tree. In her healthier years, Marilyn enjoyed fishing and hunting and simply spending time in the great outdoors. She will be remembered for having a big heart, a good sense of humour and as a woman who loved to socialize. A celebration of Marilyn’s life be held at the Colonial Inn in Coniston on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations to the Sudbury Hospice Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
