Pellerin, M. Bertha (Belanger)

In loving memory of Bertha May Pellerin who passed away at St. Joseph’s Villa in Sudbury, Ontario on August 10th, 2018, at the age of 97 years, one week short of her 98th birthday. Bertha was born August 16th, 1920 in Spragge, Ontario and raised in Biscotasing, Ontario by her parents Henri and Regina Belanger. She was a loving sister to Jane Lefebvre, Jack Belanger, Emile Belanger Roland Belanger, Bea Mallette and Romeo Belanger (all predeceased). Bertha settled in Sudbury in 1949. She shared 59 years together with Herbert (Herb) Kohls in Minowlake and together they raised 5 children. – Jacqueline Ford, husband Robert of Mississauga, Ontario; Lionel Pellerin, wife Jane of Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland; Donald Pellerin, wife Keila (predeceased) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Diane Cole, husband Bert of Turtle Creek, New Brunswick and Lynda Swannie, husband Fred of Vancouver, BC. Bertha loved and enjoyed her grandchildren ((predeceased Jennifer & Jason) Steven, Rob, Cynthia, Andrew, Karl, Brad and Curtis. She had several great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Bertha had many friends and neighbours who respected her and loved her for always being there generously giving of herself with kindness when she was needed. Bertha had a wonderful sense of humour and a beautiful smile. She loved sewing, baking, music and dancing throughout her life. She was loved and will be missed by family and so many friends. Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:30am (Friends may gather after 11am Saturday) Cremation with interment in the family plot at Lasalle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sick Children’s Hospitals or the Canadian Cancer Society.
