It is with great sadness that the family of Aileen M.Dwyer announce her passing age 89 on Wednesday June 20th 2018. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Dwyer in 1997. She is survived by 6 children, Donna Cousineau (Gary), Colleen Joyce (friend Gord) predeceased by Gerry Frenette and Harold Joyce, Pat Dwyer (Debi Box), Judy Dwyer (partner Bill), Tom Dwyer (life partner Nicole) and Joanne Hoppenreys (Dave). Cherished Nanny to Chris Cousineau (Sandra), Brent Cousineau (Stacey), Lisa Cousineau, Gerry Frenette (Jessica), Heather Joyce, Kerry Mitchell (Kevin),Victoria Clark (Andrew), Shannon Dwyer, Scott Hoppenreys and Karlie Hoppenreys and great grandchildren Liam, Morgan, Connor, Savannah, Nicholas, Ava, Lucas, Desideria, Styles, Lucy, Oliver and Joey. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph Shields, Noreen Cameron and Veronica O'Reilly and sisters in law and friends, Yvonne Shields, Mary Shields, Eleanor Stanutz, Martina Dwyer and Doris Dwyer and sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Aileen was a well respected and much loved elementary school teacher retiring after 33 years of service primarily at St. Bernadette Separate School. She made great friendships and had fond memories of her time at the school. After retirement Joe helped with quilt making that became a favourite pastime. But nothing compared to the happiness shared with family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their nanny was an amazing woman and a great cook as well. She was loved dearly and she will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated. Memorial Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Friday with parish prayers at 3pm Friday) Memorial Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle Church 1250 Barrydowne Rd., Sudbury Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 at 10am. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Civic Cemetery.
