It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 at the age of 74 years. Son of the late Cecil Venne, Virtue (née O’Brien) and stepmother Margaret (née Fleury). Loving father of Chris (Christina), Connie (Yves Leroux), Julie Caron and Wesley (Julie). Predeceased by sisters Bernadine (aka Duffy) and Cecilia, his son Timothy, and brother-in-law Andy Forester. Survived by sisters Theresa (Don McDonald), Helen (Jack Hill), Rose Ann, brothers Edward (Evelyn) and Wayne (Linda). Cherished life partner to Bobbie Jane MacKenzie. Grandfather of Andrew, Alyssa, Jordan, Jessie, Renée, Aiden and Ryan. Great-grandfather of Talula and Theo. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Wednesday, June 13th (2-5 and 7-9:30 pm), then at the Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau Quebec, on Friday, June 15th (2-4 and 6-8 pm). Mass of Christian burial at St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau on Saturday, June 16th (at 11 am). In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque or online to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
