In his glory days, he loved taking the field with his men’s fastball team and travelling to tournaments. He also loved to play blooperball and appreciated the camaraderie of the team sport. He was a true sportsman and competitor. He liked playing bingo and enjoyed his trips to the casino, where you would find him playing his favourite game, Keno. Gabe loved his home life, you would often find him in the backyard playing horseshoes, or at the kitchen table playing cards. There were many games of “spoons” played at that table. Gabe loved all sports; bowling; pool; but more than anything he cherished spending time with Cynthia, the love of his life. You would often find them sitting on the couch together in the evening, watching their favourite team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
