Righi, Marta (Coriani)

In loving memory of Marta (Coriani) Righi, 84 years. Saturday May 5, 2018 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury. Mother to Morena (David), Roxanna (Ossie), and Sonya (Bob). Cherished Nonni of Kurtis, Jacob, Giulia, Nicole, Jessica, Samantha, Erica, Nicole, and Liam “the baby”. Loving wife of 53 years to Fernando Righi (predeceased 2017) and predeceased by Vincenzo Righi, her parents Giuseppa (nee Pollini) and Daniele Coriani, and her sister Liliana. Survived by her brothers Pierino “Pippo”, Domenico “Mimmo”, and Mauro. Nonni was born in Castellarano, Italy. She made the difficult journey to Canada in 1964. Determined to make a better life for her family, she worked hard and put herself through school to learn English. Her strength and courage were an inspiration to her children. Nonni was an excellent cook and taught her grandchildren to make pasta and her famous “green lasagna”. Her home was always open and all visitors were welcomed with great food and warmth. Nonni loved her children, but she adored her grandchildren. They were her greatest pride and joy. Nonni was a woman of great faith and she will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church 591 Brennan Road, Sudbury Monday, May 14th, 2018 at 10am. (Friends may gather at the church after 9:30am Monday). Entombment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
