Ken, I am saddened to hear of Marilyn's passing. I first met Marilyn when she was managing a branch of Avco Finance. She was sharp, determined, compassionate and firm when firmness was required. She was an ideal client who made my task easier by being prepared and efficient. It has been a number of years since our paths have crossed and that I regret. I console myself though in knowing that I had the privilege to have known and dealt with Marilyn for the period of time that I did.

Dearest Ken, Our hearts are broken as we grieve with you the loss of your beautiful, passionate, caring, smart, fun and generous wife Marilyn. We thank God for leading my parents to purchase their camp on Wabagishik. A significant reason why it became such a special destination was because we became your neighbours. You loved and welcomed all of us so richly! It so blessed us to see how our dear Omama was one of Marilyn's best buddies! Our children looked forward to catching fish so they could run to Marilyn for "show and tell" and have her "ooh" and "ahh" over the latest catch. Marilyn's welcome was never just a short chat, it always included an invitation for a snack or a meal, on the deck in the sunshine in summer or watching the flames in the glass wood stove in winter. Marilyn always had advice for us, but only after she listened intently to all our news. Ken and Marilyn, we admire your marriage. You showed devotion, unity, patience, and committed love that never waned in trying times. We thank God for bringing the two of you together. The great depth of pain you feel is as deep as the love you shared. We pray that God will accomplish the seemingly impossible task of comforting you and carrying you through your grief. God bless you and all your family in this time. Love, Patricia Attwood
