In Loving Memory of Paul Colilli 65 years Peacefully Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Diana (Iuele) Colilli. Loving father of Andre, Julian (Cara Durigon) and Olivia. Cherished son of Mario and Ilda (Ventresca) Colilli both predeceased. Loving brother of Teresa Colilli. Special son-in-law of Flora Iuele and the late Antonio Iuele predeceased. Dear brother-in-law of Josie Michelucci, Gino Iuele (Vikki Borg) and Patricia Marrone (Peter). Much loved uncle to Marco, Jennifer, Ariana, Mikahla, Andrew, Luca, Matteo and great uncle to Amelia, Lennon and Ruby. Paul was a family man who dedicated his life to his wife and children. He instilled his love for knowledge, life-long learning, travel and the arts to his family. Not only was he a world-renowned scholar known for his writings on Italian literature, culture, and philosophy, he was also an admired professor at Laurentian University and Middlebury College who inspired many students. He was a dedicated community leader having served on the Board of Directors of the Caruso Club and as Honourary Vice Consul of Italy for the Sudbury district. He was known for his humility and sharp wit. He will be deeply missed. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Sunday with parish prayers at 3pm Sunday) Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church 591 Brennan Rd., Sudbury Monday, March 12th, 2018 at 10:30am Entombment in the Civic Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to Paul Colilli Family Bursary would be appreciated.
