Rainville, C. Robert 'Rob'

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert C. “Rob” Rainville on Monday, February 12th, 2018 at the age of 66 years old at Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury, Ontario. Beloved husband of 41 years to Jeannette (nee Dupuis) Rainville, loving father of Robert Jr., Craig (Rikki-Lee) & Anne-Ashley. Cherished grandfather of Hayden & Tayler. Loving son of Berthold & Germaine (nee Remillard) Rainville and Roland Guillemette all predeceased. Dear brother of Richard (Patricia), Annette Roy (Frank) both predeceased, Gaston predeceased (Iva), Normand “Norm” predeceased (Shelley), Claudette Jacques (Claude), Suzanne “Sue” Denney (Ross) & Michel “Mickey” predeceased. He will be missed by his mother in-law, many of his brother’s in-law, sister in-law, nephews, nieces & many friends & neighbors. Robert worked for CNR for 37 years & has been retired for 11 years. This past year he struggled with cancer. His quick wit & sense of humor will be missed. Robert enjoyed life with his wife & his family, immediate & extended. He would never refuse helping others in need no questions asked, he was very handy & could fix just about anything. He loved to dance the jive in his cowboy boots; he also loved a bargain & his antiques. He had a heart of gold & always made a lasting impression with whomever he met. In his earlier years, his Gold Wing Motorcycle was his passion. In keeping with his wishes, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation or Maison McCulloch Hospice. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 26 Dennie St. Capreol, ON at 11:00 am with luncheon to follow.
