The family announces June’s death on February 6, 2018 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury at the age of 86 years. Daughter of Walter and Anne Tarrant (predeceased). Daughter-in-law to Lawrence and Marjorie Lecour (predeceased). Beloved wife of James Lynwood Lecour (predeceased). Survived by her sons Wade (Mary) of Brampton, Brent of Kapuskasing and Brad (Lynne) of Coniston. Dear grandmother of Jeffrey, AJ, Rebecca, Sara, Brandon, Amanda, Mary-Anne and Stephanie. Dear great-grandmother of Jaxson, Zayden, Josef and Sloane. Loving sister of Shirley Brennan (Michael predeceased) of Garson and Donald (predeceased). Godmother of Kathy (Drew) Barnard. Sister-in-law to Barry (Gisele) Lecour, Emerilda (Ray) Belanger, Emmet (Lois) Lecour, Marlene (Don predeceased) Cundall, and Glen (Georgina) Lecour (predeceased). Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Special great-aunt to Miriam and Elisha Barnard. Born in Toronto, she moved to Levack at an early age and later to Garson in 1938. She married in 1952 and moved to Sudbury in 1955. The last eleven years she resided at the Westmount Retirement Residence where she will be fondly remembered as the “mail lady”. She was actively involved on the executive of the Sudbury chapter of the Canadian Diabetes Association for many years. She was an avid Blue Jay fan and followed hockey enthusiastically. A devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. At June’s request there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held for June on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 1-4 pm at the Italian Club of Copper Cliff located at 7 Craig Street.
