Well...what a wonderful lady that I knew so young. At only 4 yrs old, she took me in, tucked me in, fed me, talked with me, did the rosary with me and MK, really cared about me; but most of all.. made me like family. Thank you Mrs. Burnett. I've missed you since the day I left, and will see you again. Hugs to the family, you're in my thoughts and prayers. It was special MK, that you all made me a part of your life with your mom. It was truly a pleasant time in our lives. Thank you all.

My deepest condolences. When I first moved to Capreol I was 17 years old. Nervous and feeling out of place. When I met Mrs Burnett the first thing she said to me was to can call me Ma. I knew right away this lady was a warm kind person, it mad me feel so very welcome in her home. I remember how she would run around the house to serve you when you were visiting. She literally wore her heart on her sleeve. My deepest condolences to all her beautiful family. What a beautiful kind lady! Forever in our hearts.

My maiden name is Cecchini. When Father O'Neill was the priest at the church, I sang in the choir with Mrs. Burnett. Often, it was just she and I. She often took me home after church and fed me toast and marshmellow toast. It was too early to go to school. She was so kind to me, I never forgot her wonderful warm heart. My condolences to her family. She was a gem.

Saddened to hear of Auntie Gertie's passing surely she will be missed in so many ways. My blueberry picking partner, once she knew it was the season ready with her basket she was on the phone or at the door asking to find the big ones. Our trip to Rockies to enjoy a bowl of soup or a cup of coffee. She shared Linda's same birth date chinese food and cake we enjoyed each year. We were so honored to enjoy her company. MK and family all the good memories will keep her in your hearts forever.!

Dear MK and family, We Are so sorry for the loss of your mother and our Aunt Gertie. She was a very special person. The energy that she exhuberated, was totally amazing. She lived for her family and her daughters were the joy of her life. We always looked forward to a visit with her when we were home for a few days and disappointed if she were off picking blueberries and a visit was missed that summer. So many great memories of her. Take care, You are in our thoughts. Carol and family
