Duncan, E. Joan ""Doadie (Emmett)

In loving memory of Joan Elizabeth Duncan (Doadie) (Nee Emmett) who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Friday, January 5th, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Stu Duncan for 57 years. Loving mother of Jennifer Manarin (Dennis) and Susan Cameron (Tracey). Cherished Doadie of Jason Manarin, Duncan Cameron, Steven Manarin and Kylie Cameron. Dear sister of Barbara Gaskin and good friend of Wendy Major. Joan was born September 2, 1937 to Theodora and Owen Emmett in Port Rowan, Ontario. True to her upbringing, family was the most important thing to her. The family would like to thank all the PSWs, nurses and doctors who were so kind and compassionate to Doadie and family. Tim, Sue, thanks for making us smile everyday. Jolene and Dan, thank you for all of your support and prayers. Doadie, you are our angel. Thank you for teaching us strength through adversity.
