Hamilton, S. John 'Jack'

In Loving Memory of John “Jack” Stuart Hamilton 96 Years Peacefully Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018 in Toronto with loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Teresa (Jones) Hamilton (nee Gagnon) predeceased in 2014 and Stephanie Hamilton (nee Malinowskiy) predeceased 1968 and Teresa Hamilton (nee Gagnon) predeceased in 2014. Loving father of Carolyn Olynick (Wayne), Stephen Jones (Maureen), Marilyn Bankowski (Joe predeceased), Glen Jones (Sandra), Colleen Robicheau (David), Robert Jones (Tena), Sherry Greasley (Patrick), John Hamilton (Kathryn), Margaret Sutherland (John Newman), Lora Aller and Paula Hamilton (Norm Anger). Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dear son of Albert and Florence (Sherlock) Hamilton both predeceased. Dear brother of Margaret Kingston (Glen predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. As a graduate of the University of Toronto, Jack was a Professional Engineer who enjoyed a long career with Falconbridge Nickel Mines. He also served as a lieutenant in the Canadian Aarmed Fforces for four years. Jack was a devout Roman Catholic who volunteered along with Teresa for the food and clothing drives at St. Andrew the Apostle Church. He loved spending the winters in Texas at Fun n Sun Park where he was a member of the men’s and mixed choirs as well as the ukulele group. He was also active in the choir at St. Theresa’s Parish in San Benito, Texas. He especially loved playing the piano and singing. Jack enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and sudoku and was always ready with a story to entertain family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at St. Christopher’s Church in Mississauga on Saturday, January 6th, 2018.
