In Loving Memory of Martha Johnson (nee Ranta) 91 years Peacefully, Thursday, December 28th, 2017 at Extendicare York, Sudbury, with loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Vilho “Bill” Johnson predeceased 2009. Loving mother of Kenneth Johnson (Bonita D’Angelo), Victoria Johnson, and Cynthia Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Misty Heikkila (Todd), Westley Clarke (Amanda), Kyle Johnson (Nicole), Krystle Johnson (Mike), Cortney Valtins (Drue), Erin Kanerva (Dan), Ashlee-Taylor Johnson (Nick), and great grandchildren Kainen, Romeo, Ethan, Aria, MacKenna, Gaven, and Korrina. Dear daughter of Antti and Ellen (nee Salmi) Ranta both predeceased. Dear sister of Margaret Holub (Ray) both predeceased, Vaila Wilson predeceased, and Andrew Ranta predeceased (Lila). Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Tuesday, January 2nd 2018 at 2pm. (Friends may call after 12 noon Tuesday). Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Beaver Lake Cemetery. Donations to Kivi Park would be appreciated.
