Malzahn, Hilda (Petchey)

In Loving Memory of Hilda Malzahn (nee Petchey) Born April 14, 1939; passed away Thursday, December 28th, 2017 at Extendicare Falconbridge, Sudbury at the age of 78. Loving wife of 51 years to Arthur Malzahn. Beloved mother of Marlene Hauser (Roy Mayotte predeceased), Hilda Kirschman, Joanne Savard (David), Sue Rioux (Thomas), Donna Robert (John), Carol Crozzoli (Alberto), and Cyndi Malzahn (Moe Benvidi). Grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Dear daughter of Albert and Edna Petchey (both predeceased). Dear sister of Hugh Petchey (Olive predeceased), Edward Petchey predeceased, John Petchey predeceased, Wayne Petchey (Sue predeceased), and Norma Wynne (Ron). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, near and far. Hilda was involved in various social activities, including the Master Bowlers Association (Northern Ontario), where she coached many children and adults; the M.S. Society; and the Special Olympics (St. Charles and Noelville). Many thanks to Falconbridge Extendicare for the service provided to Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations to NCF (Breast Cancer Research) would be appreciated. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5pm Sunday and after 10am Monday). Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Monday, January 1st, 2018 at 11am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
