Lebedick, Brigid

The family of Brigid (Breda) Lebedick, age 65, sadly announce her passing on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 at Health Sciences North. Brigid was born in Ireland to Patrick and Esther Byrne. She was raised in Onaping and attended local schools. It was there that she met and married the love of her life, Stephen Lebedick, and together they raised their two children, Robert and Lisa, in both Dowling and Elliot Lake, and eventually they made their life in Sudbury. Brigid was a kind and caring person, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved to cook and entertain and she and Stephen traveled extensively. Together they loved to bike, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and work out at the “Y”. She had a strong work ethic and truly enjoyed helping others, especially and most recently at Sears, from where she retired in April 2017. Brigid is survived by her husband of 47 years, Stephen Lebedick, her son Rob (Caroline), and daughter Lisa (Shane), mother Esther Byrne, siblings Pat Byrne (Sara), Kathleen Mallek, Brendan Byrne (Laura), and Marie Parenteau (Doug), her mother and father in law, Freda and Walter Lebedick, sister in law Charlene Prieur, and brother in law Allan Lebedick (Lynn). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Kylie, Kansas, Tyson, Claire, and James. Brigid was a much-loved aunt, great aunt, and niece to her extended family. She was predeceased by her father Patrick Byrne (1988) and brother Shawn Byrne (2006). Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 at 2pm. (Friends may gather after 1:30pm Tuesday). Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the NCF Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
