Pasanen, I. Vieno (Tuuri)

In Loving Memory of Vieno Inkeri Pasanen (nee Tuuri) December 27th, 1923 – November 1st, 2017. Our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Roy Wm. Pasanen predeceased June 1970. Loving mother of Nora Sather (predeceased May 26th, 2017), Sadie Paquette (Reg Audette)of Chelmsford, Ellen Lewis (Gary) of Owen Sound, Paul Pasanen of Sudbury, Lori Pasanen (Louis Gagne)of Ottawa and Laila Pasanen of Richmond Hill. Cherished grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 19. Dear daughter of Arne and Aino (Lehtimaki) Tuuri(both predeceased). Dear sister of the late Taisto Tuuri. Vieno was true to her Finnish heritage. She was an avid knitter, sewing for her children and grandchildren and was well known for her Finnish rag mats. She gardened and preserved jams, vegetables and other family favourites. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A private family service was held Friday, November 3rd at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St., Sudbury. A Celebration of Vieno’s life will be held later in the summer of 2018.
