Kordiak, Mary (Hunka)

In Loving Memory Mary (Hunka) Kordiak 87 years Tuesday, October 31st 2017 at Maison McCulloch Hospice Beloved wife of Petro “Peter” Kordiak predeceased 1992. Loving mother of Patty and Steve Peter. Loving daughter of Alexander and Anastasia (Klymko) Hunka both predeceased. Dear cousin of Jerry Pihursky (Marion). Sadly missed by family in Winnipeg and Philadelphia. Special thanks to all the PSW’s over the years, especially to family and friends Karen Lindquist and Doris Tomasik for their care and kindness. Born in Billings Bridge, Ontario, she married Peter in Sudbury in 1960. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Seniors’ Center. She loved watching old movies, especially musicals. Cats and dogs always gave her much joy. She will be lovingly remembered as a kind, humble and forgiving woman who was never judgmental. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 6-9 P.M. Friday with Panakhyda at 7P.M. Friday) Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church 40 Notre Dame Avenue Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. Interment in the Civic Cemetery Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and to St. Mary’s Ukrainian Senior Centre would be appreciated.
