Brunet, Gérald

It is with great sadness that the family of Gérald Brunet announces his passing on Saturday October 28th, 2017 at the age of 76 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Son of the late Armand and Jeanne (née Desroches) Brunet. Loving husband of Carmen (née St. Louis). Dear father of Lise Thibault (Mario), Lillian (Marc), Robert (Crystal), Carole (Gilles), Nicole (Guy). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Léo Brunet (Shirley) of Cache Bay, his sisters Rollande Duguay (late René) of Sudbury and Claire Loiselle of Chelmsford. Predeceased by his brothers Hector (Annette), Claude (late Suzanne) and sisters Jeannine Morin (Romeo), Simone Lacroix (Jean Louis). Gérald worked at Inco for 35 years. He enjoyed the outdoors camping and fishing. He loved hockey and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. He was at his happiest when he was surrounded by his family. Those who knew him well will always remember his great sense of humour and his practical jokes. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Forever in our hearts.
