Glenn Young Died peacefully at Health Sciences North, October 28, 2017 with his family by his side at the age of 91. Born to Madeline and Jack Young, predeceased of Brockville, Ontario. Glenn was born in Ogdensburg, New York. He spent most of his younger life on the family farm before moving to Sudbury and marrying his wife Ferne (Mutch) and celebrating over 69 years of marriage. They resided in Lively for a number of years before moving to Sudbury. Loving father of Jack (Pam) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Jackson (Melissa) of Sudbury and Daniel (Jessica) of Adelaide, Australia. Dearest great-grandfather of Aubrey and Jameson. Will be missed by sister-in-law Lilian Guisti and nieces and nephews of the Sudbury and Brockville areas. Predeceased by brother Floyd and sister Geraldine of Brockville. Glenn worked at Inco, retiring in 1982. He also enjoyed being a member of the Volunteer Walden Fire Department. He was an avid car enthusiast and loved a good game of cards. Glenn was a very kind and gentle soul and will be missed by all who knew him. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the sparkle in his eye. Funeral Service in the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury. Thursday November 2, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. (Friends may call 2 – 5 and 7 – 9 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:30 A.M. Thursday) Interment in the Waters Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice.
