Lalonde, Bob 'Aza'

In loving memory of Bob (Aza) Lalonde who passed away in Chelmsford on Monday October 23, 2017, at the age of 91. Son of the late Pierre and Yvonne (née Leroux) Lalonde. Loving husband of Thérèse (née Carrière) of Chelmsford. Dear father of Michel (Nicole), Red (Pierrette), Claude, Guy (Lise), and Ricky (Nicole). Adoring grandfather of Kim, Bobbie-Jo, Joddie, Natalie, Victoria, Alexie and Camille. Great-grandfather of Bryce, Mackenzie, Rylan, Brynlea and great-great-grandfather of Ella. He was predeceased by his brothers Lucien, Léo, André and René. Survived by his brothers Aimé and Noël. Loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Involved in the Azilda Community, Bob was among the founding members of the Club Age D’Or in Azilda, a lifelong member of Ste-Agnès Church as well as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and the Chelmsford Royal Canadian Legion. He worked tirelessly for Inco until retirement and always found pride in a job well done. No matter what his projects were, they were done meticulously. He spent his summer at his Vermillion River Camp and his winter puttering around his house. His favorite moments were when he was surrounded by his five sons, their wives and children. Whether around the dinner table or camp fire, nothing was more precious to him than his family. The family would like to thank all the staff at St-Gabriel for all the love and care that was given to Bob for so many years and for the support given to the family during these difficult last few days. You are all amazing and we are forever grateful for all you’ve done for our Dad. Also a special thank you to Sue. Words cannot tell you how much we appreciate the time you have spent with Dad. Thank you for all the dances, you are our little angel and we love you. The family will receive friends at Ste. Agnès Church in Azilda after 9:30 am on Friday October 27, Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30. Donations to the Heart And Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
