White, Lena (Slimkowich)

In Loving Memory of Lena White (nee Slimkowich), 93 years, Passed away peacefully Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Falconbridge Extendicare in Sudbury. Beloved wife of Alvin Leonard White (predeceased in 2002). Loving mother of John (Lynn) of Waterdown and Tom (Shelley) of Lively. Cherished grandmother of Andrea (Adam Fox), Amy (Robert Eterno), Robert, Kaitlyn and Alex. Proud great-grandmother of Francesca, Josee, Jordan and Brianna. Predeceased by her parents Wasylena and John Slimkowich. Dear sister of Mary Kerton of Hamilton (predeceased), John Slimkowich (Bernice) of Toronto (both predeceased), Dolly Hoover (Jack) (both predeceased) of Hamilton, Nick and Wasyl Slimkowich (both predeceased as infants). Survived by her sister Helen (Joe predeceased) Cornthwaite of Port Hope Extendicare. Sadly missed by nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. The family expresses their appreciation to the 4th floor at Falconbridge Extendicare Sudbury nursing staff and caregivers for their excellent care, compassion and support. Lena had a great sense of humour and enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family and grandchildren. At Lena’s request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to Extendicare Falconbridge Residence Counsel.
