MALETTE, Martina (nee McGuiney) – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of, Martina Malette, 83 years, on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at Maison McCulloch Hospice. Daughter of the late James and Annie (nee O’Brien) McGuiney. Beloved wife of the late Jack Malette. Loving mother of Charlotte Malette (Mario), Wayne Malette (Diane), Marlene Malick (Steve) and Debbie Seguin (Norby). Cherished granny of Nathalie (Carl), Patrick (Josée), Joel (Bonnie), Amanda (Eric), Julian, Sean (Karli), Cory, Todd (Kayla) and Meghan. Proud grandmother to 8 great-grandchildren. Martina will be sadly missed by sister-in-law, Doreen Martin, and many loving nieces and nephews. Martina will be remembered for her big heart and warm smile. She was a loving and caring person who found joy and happiness being with family and friends. “God broke our hearts to prove to us that he only takes the best.” A special thank you to the amazing and incredible staff and volunteers at Maison McCulloch Hospice – your support, compassion and care will forever be remembered. The family would also like to thank Dr. De Blacam and Pharmacist, Sean Simpson, for your dedication and care. As per Martina’s wishes, there will be a small family gathering in Haileybury at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
