September 12, 1948 – September 20, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, and Nonno, on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at Health Sciences North, with loving family at his side. Guido is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gina (Timpano) Baldassarre; his adoring children, Angela (Martin), Serafina (Dan), and Patrizia (Ross); and his cherished grandchildren, Aandon, Ava, Nolaan, Ella, Edyta, Scott, Eric (Amanda), and great grandchildren Carter and Callie. Dear son of Giuseppe and Angelina Baldassarre predeceased. Beloved youngest brother of Pietro (Lina), Antoinetta (Giuseppe)(both predeceased), Enza (Giuseppe), Lucy (Jim predeceased), Michele (predeceased), Concettina (Raffaelle). Special brother in law to Raffaelle (predeceased)(Giovannina), Bruno (predeceased)(Sara), Cosimo (Pina), Lina (Sam), Rosa (Michele), Mario (Stella), Fernando (predeceased)(Pina), Rita (Nazzareno), and Maria (Nazzareno). Sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews in Italy, Canada, and Germany. Born in Guardialfiera, Italy, Guido worked for INCO for 35 years until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dancing, and watching his beloved team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was a man of few words, but when he said something it counted, so please remember Guido by having a toast in his honour: Salute! Funeral Prayers in the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 at 10am. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
