In loving memory of Marcel Blais, 62 years, who passed away at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury on Monday, September 11th, 2017 surrounded by his dear family. Beloved husband and soul mate of the late Catherine “Cathy” (nee Stack), predeceased March 11th, 2017. Loving father of Lisa Anderson (husband Roy) of Sudbury and Christopher Blais (wife Céline Contant) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Jakob, Chase, Bryce, Brooke and Gavin. Dear brother of the late Isidore (surviving wife Berthe of Sudbury), Georgette Lachance (husband Luc) of St-Charles, the late Irene, Jeannette Jeanveau (late husband Marcel) of Hamilton, the late Gérald (surviving wife Connie of Sudbury), Aimé (wife Jeannine) of Hanmer and Claude (wife Claire) of Hanmer. Also survived by many in-laws and nieces and nephews. Marcel was born in Sudbury on January 29th, 1955 to parents Lina and Colomban Blais, both predeceased. Some of his favourite pastimes were fishing and cheering for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. He also enjoyed volunteering for many worthwhile causes. Marcel will be remembered as a very caring man with a great sense of humour who loved being around kids. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice, in his memory, would be greatly appreciated.
