Sadly missed Zio by his nephews and nieces, Stefano (Sue) Zuliani of Oakville and Stefanie Zuliani, Rita (Rod) Schutt, Michael (Trish) Toppazzini, and nephews and nieces in Italy. Mario was born in San Danielle del Friuli, Italy on October 20 1934. He met Nadia in their hometown San Danielle when they were teenagers. They immigrated to Canada in 1961 and settled in Sudbury to build a better life for their young family. He worked for over 45 years at A. Toppazzini Construction alongside his brother Roberto. Mario was a hard working and a gifted carpenter who took great pride in his job. He had outstanding work ethics, never settled for anything but perfection and quality of work, and his motto was ‘measure twice and cut once’. He was gentle, humble and soft spoken, who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. His passion was his family & lifelong friends, the Juventis soccer team, enjoying his home cooked meals prepared by his wife, the outdoors & tending his garden. And was never one to pass on a bowl of ice cream! He left his mark on many homes & businesses with his wood working projects and custom cabinetry. A long time member of the Fogolar Furlan and Caruso Clubs. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Mario's family extend a special thank you and warmest appreciation to the staff of HSN for their superb care, respect and compassion and Oak Lodge for their enduring kindness and support shown to him throughout his illness.
