Ross, John George (Jack) - Jan. 16, 1940 - Sept. 5, 2017 In memory of Jack Ross 77, who leaves behind his loving family-wife Kate, and two children Cory and Jama (husband Terry), brothers Bill (Maxine) and Alan - predeceased (Gail), brother-in-law Tim (Kate), as well as friends Reid and Linda Davis. Jack was a gifted thinker and received his undergraduate degree at Mount Allison University followed by a PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he also worked under contract from NASA on the “man on the moon” mission. Jack worked for over 30 years as an applied math and physics professor at Cambrian College. He was a lifetime sports enthusiast and loved following football, baseball, golf, and hockey. In his free time, Jack loved golfing with friends Ted Davey, Reid Davis, Ross Anderson, and many others. He was also a “Senior-Master” bridge player who enjoyed competing in tournaments with Ruth Browning and others. Jack loved to play the piano and listen to blues music. He also loved his annual vacations to Panama City Florida where he lived out some of his favourite pastimes-golf, seafood, ribs, and beer.
