Munro, H. Maurice ""Scotty

In Loving Memory of Maurice Herbert “Scotty” Munro Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Health Sciences North during his 81st year. He was born on February 16, 1937, in Almonte, Ontario. Maurice left the Ottawa Valley and headed north to Sudbury, where he began a long and enjoyable career at INCO Ltd. “Scotty” worked as a jackleg driller for over 30 years, and then as a crusher-man towards the end of his 39 years with the company; he was well-known for his strong and natural work ethic. In 1965, Maurice married Etheline Constantineau, and together they had 3 children, Darren, Dawn and Kimberly. He was a gentle and generous soul who loved to tell stories and inquire about the life experiences of everyone he met. Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his large family, as he was the baby of 11 children born to Alex and Elizabeth (Ellis) Munro. He is survived by his brothers, Glen (Oshawa, ON) and Russell (Duncan, BC), sisters-in-law Donna (Almonte, ON), Eileen (Oshawa, ON), Pat (BC), and Freddie (BC), and many nieces and nephews. Maurice was predeceased by siblings Lyle, Mary, Edith, Cecil, Alec, Ruth, Elmer and Ira. There will be no funeral or visitation, in accordance with Maurice’s wishes.
