In loving memory of Claude Leclair, 70 years, who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Friday, September 1st, 2017 surrounded by his dear family. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Perreault) of Chelmsford. Loving father of Linda Leclair-Séguin (husband Don) of Chelmsford and Paul Leclair (wife Josée) of Dowling. Cherished grandfather of Claudia, Olivia, Joleen and Carter. Dear brother of Claudette Chénier of Sudbury, the late Don Leclair (surviving wife Claire of Chelmsford), Diane Leclair of Ottawa, Normand Leclair of Sudbury and Denis Leclair (wife Joyce) of Chelmsford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Claude was born in Chelmsford on September 5th, 1946 to parents Gilberte and Hermini, both predeceased. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend time in Gogama with his fishing partner and soulmate Rita. He retired from Inco with 34 years of service as an electrician, he served his community as a volunteer firefighter for 30 years and was an active member of Mine Rescue for 20 years. Claude shared his love for life with his contagious smile and laughter. His biggest love was his family. The family would like to thank Dr. Cano, Dr. Schum and the Nurses from the 7th floor for the exceptional care Claude and his family have received. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A memorial mass, to celebrate his life, will be held at St-Joseph’s Church in Chelmsford on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends may gather at the church after 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow at the Forest Ridge Golf Course.
