Pandke, Carol (Kasaboski)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Pandke (nee Kasaboski) 73 years on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Renfrew, ON she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dorothy (nee Kenopic) Kasaboski. Loving wife of William “Bill” Pandke. Beloved mother of Steven Lauzon (Marnee), Michael Lauzon (Julie) and stepmother of Brent and Derek Pandke. Cherished and doting grandmother of Kurtis (Kaleigh), Kasandra, Kristopher, Erin, Shane Lauzon and great grandmother of Hudson. Eldest of 8 siblings, she will be dearly missed by Tom (Jeanette), Frank (Linda), Judith Galipeau (Norm), Ken (Mary), Cliff, Donna Jordan (Barry), Gerry (Ron) and Dave. Special aunt, great-aunt to many nieces and nephews and fondly remembered and sorely missed by her many cousins and extended family. Carol’s life was spent in the service of others as a Registered Nurse, retiring in 2015 after a career spanning 40 years in 5 Regional Hospitals and 3 Nursing Home settings. She took great pride in her work and in that of everyone who worked alongside of her. She was actively involved with ONA as BUP for many years in the Nursing Home sector and a proud member of the RNAO. She also enjoyed her time as a member of the ParkSide Centre enjoying their many courses. An avid reader who enjoyed knitting and crocheting but her greatest joys in life were the times she was able to spend with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Carol will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Dr. P. Cano, Dr. L. Tenhunen, Donna Hunt, RN and all who provided wonderful care to her. A celebration of life will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Saturday, September 2nd 2017 at 11am (Friends may gather after 10:30am Saturday) Donations to the SPCA or Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
