Sewrey, Clara (McNichol)

In loving memory of Clara Sewrey (nee McNichol), 81 years, who passed away at Extendicare Falconbridge on August 25th, 2017. Beloved mother of Harvey McNichol (predeceased Jul. 3, 2016) (Laura). Cherished mother of Nancy Martel (Randy predeceased Aug. 13, 2017), William Martin, Sandra Martin (Gerry McNamara), Jane Picotte, Donna Sewrey and Alfred Sewrey. Loving grandmother of Michael, Jennifer (Shawn), Sandra, Harvey Jr, Andrew McNichol, Megan (Ryan) Matte, Chelsey (Joe) Bertrand, Brodey Ladouceur, Keith (Regan), Shane and Kyle Picotte. Patrick and Anthony (predeceased Dec. 31, 2015) Felker. Great grandmother of seventeen great grandchildren: Jessica, Jemma, Jasmine, Bryce, Savannah, McKayla, Kierra, Dakota, Ethan, Brayden, Tiffany, Rowan, Andrew Jr., and Clarissa (predeceased Jun. 2012) McNichol, Mace and Isabelle Picotte, and Ramsey Matte. Predeceased by her parents William and Evelyn McNichol (St.Denis), brothers George and Dominic, and her sister Olive. Survived by her brothers; Clarence McNichol, Weldon McNichol and Roger McNichol. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. With her family, she loved spending time outdoors, and spent many days hunting, fishing, and camping. Her passion for knitting was always shared with others through her handmade socks. She will be fondly remembered for making everyone around the table smile with her witty remarks. Many thanks to the staff who took such great care of our mother, the centre of our family, at Extendicare Falconbridge. It was so greatly appreciated. Clara will be joining her dear friend Helen Sarazin for a special cup of “tea” in heaven, like they enjoyed on many Sundays. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Burial with prayers will be held at the Benny Cemetery on Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 at 12noon. Following the service will be a Celebration of Life luncheon, also in Benny. Arrangements entrusted to the Sudbury Park Lawn Crematorium.
