In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Lucy Jocko (nee Shigwadja) 71 years Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Lorne Debassige (predeceased). Loving mother of Beverley and Melena both predeceased, Diane Jocko, Edward Jocko of Wikwemikong and Samantha Jocko, the city indian. Cherished grandmother of Philip, Sierra (Chris), Kelsie (Steven), Dallas (Taylor), Noah, Hudson and great grandchildren Ty and Sierra’s baby on the way. Baby sister of Rose Roy, Josephine Debassige, Mary Louise Shigwadja, Franklin Jocko, Alice Jocko and Edward Jocko all predeceased. Special Auntie to Marilyn, George, Suzanne, Peter, Marko and Nancy. Will be missed by all her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a beautiful native mother and grandmother who could light up a room by just walking into it. She always had her door open and was willing to help others. She worked in Toronto at the Native Women Shelter, Anduhyaun and Council Fire for over 30 years. She moved back home to watch her grandbabies grow. Her kids, grandkids and bebe Ty were her life. She left an awesome legacy. Resting at St. Ignatius Church Buzwah (Friends may call after 2pm Monday) Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Mission Church, Wikwemikong Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017 at 11am Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of Ontario would be appreciated.
