Young, Raymond Wayne September 12, 1951-August 17, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Young on August 17, 2017, peacefully with family by his side. Son of Raymond and Martha (Boutet) Young, predeceased. Dearly missed by his wife of 44 years Margaret (Dulas). Loving father of Jenifer (friend Gerry), Sandy O’Connor (Erin), and Jeffrey (Stephanie). Doting grandfather of Victoria (friend Robert), Sean, and his baby ‘K’. Wayne will be missed by his siblings Robert “Red” (Margo), Morgan (Donna), Chris (Evelyn), Mitch (Linda), Janice Montgomery (Cameron), and Carl (Sue). He will also be missed by many in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Wayne grew up in Onaping, and went on to become an accomplished miner, retiring from Falconbridge after 30 years and working an additional 10 years at Musselwhite Mine and contracting in different locations. He was also a long standing member of the Onaping Falls Fire Department and a Mine Rescue volunteer. In his time off and after retiring, he spent his time with family at the camp, wintering in Florida, and travelling. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to the Manitoulin Health Centre Auxiliary. A celebration of life with be held at the Onaping Falls Legion, 3 St. James St, Onaping, on August 26 from 1-4pm, where family and friends are invited to gather and share stories and memories. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, for their care and compassion. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
