Gibson, Anthony 'Tony'

The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Elizabeth Centre, Monday, July 31, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Husband of 67 years to the late Thérèse (née Bisson) Gibson. Predeceased by his parents Giovanne Donato and Rosina (née Peluso) Gibson. Father of Gary (Susan Haert), Diane Lester (Steve) and Gerry (Madeleine Franson). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Mario, Carlo, Nino, Helene and Sonia. Cherished grandfather of Desi, Tony, Melissa, Tami, Sherri, Dan, Dave and great-grandfather of Travis, Brianna, Desiree, Braydan, Rylee, Zachary, Cameron, Kayla, Wyatt, Tanner and Taya. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Tony was a very strong member of Mine Mill and had an honorary life time membership. He enjoyed his many years as a heavy- equipment operator at Inco. We would like to thank the staff at The Elizabeth Centre for their care and empathy. Tony was known to many as “50-50”. A graveside burial service for Tony and Thérèse will be held at the mausoleum at the Civic cemetery on Second Ave, Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at 10 a.m. Cremation at the Cooperative Crematorium, Chelmsford.
