Jones, Christine It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Margaret Jones (nee Galardo). Beloved wife and best friend of Dennis for 49 years. Cherished mother of Victoria Jones Boric (John), Robert, and Gordon (Marilyn). Proud Nanna of Vanessa, Rowan, Blair, Lukas and Zachary. Survived by sisters Gloria Miron (Conrad), Sylvia Smith (Sandy) and brother Paul Galardo (Tammy). Sadly missed by many other dear family members and friends. Upon retiring as a teacher, she spent 16 years at their winter condo in Pt. Charlotte, Florida with family members and friends. She enjoyed and remained active in the water fitness program, playing Bocce in the league, and also became an active member of the knitting club. She also enjoyed her reading, biking, and daily walks. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors at Royal Victoria Hospital and Health Sciences North Sudbury. Family and friends will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie, on Monday, July 31, 2017 for visitation from 7-9pm. A service will take place the following day in the Chapel on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 starting at 11am with visitation beginning at 10am. Reception to follow.
