The family sadly announces the passing of Anita (mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend) at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 87 years with both her daughters by her side. Anita met and married the love of her life Bob in 1956 and remained in the Sudbury area most of their married life and had four children. As a devout catholic she actively participated in church activities, including the choir and was a member of the C.W.L. for over 50 years. Born in 1929, Anita devoted her life to her two passions, her family and nursing. Anita is predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Ernest Jowitt, both of her parents Arthur Duhamel and Emma (née Bodson). Dear sister of Jean Cinotti, (Alfio predeceased), Edward predeceased (Betty), Urgel and Nancy both predeceased, Fern and Joan both predeceased and Rene. Brother-in-law Donald Jowitt (Georgina) of Thunder Bay. Anita will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her children, Valerie Tessier (Larry) of Espanola, Larry (Marie) of Winnipeg, Ronald of Brampton and Roxanne Hodgins (Graham Rayton) of Barrie. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Todd (Christine), Angela (Garnet), Paula (Scott), Nicholas (Samantha) and Jolene (Travis) and by her great-grandchildren Logan, Liam, Olivier, Simon, Noah and Kaleb and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Sunday, May 28, 2017 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, May 29, 2017 after 9 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, Sudbury.
